M.Ed., M.A.T. or M.I.S.?
M.A.T. and the M.I.S. in World Languages degrees lead to initial certification in specific subject areas and grade levels. M.Ed. degrees are designed for practicing teachers who want advanced preparation in their field. Teachers who pursue an M.Ed. in an area in which they already hold certification will qualify for a certification upgrade to a Level T5 upon graduation.
